Visa Verification (OK To Board)

Customers travelling to BAHRAIN may be required to get their visas verified. After verification, the relevant office will insert an ‘OK to Board’ message in the booking. 

‘OK to Board’ message is mandatory for the below categories:

  • All Customers holding ECR Passport
  • All Customers travelling with a print out of Labour & Work e – visa.

‘OK to Board’ can be processed at IndiGo’s Sales Office in Bahrain location mentioned below. The staff concerned will verify the authenticity of the visa and insert “OK to Board” message on PNR. A service charge of 3 BHD will be levied to the sponsor at the time of verification of visa. This charge may change without prior notice. Please note that the visa copy will be retained by the office / agency.

Customers travelling to UAE (Dubai and Sharjah) maybe required to get their visas verified. After verification, the relevant office will insert an ‘OK to Board’ message in the booking.
 
Please note that ‘OK to Board’ message is not required for the following categories of travellers for travel to UAE (Dubai and Sharjah):

  • Customers holding valid Resident Permit or passport stamped with Resident Visa
  • Customers eligible for “Visa On Arrival” irrespective of nationality
  • Customers travelling with a print-out of Business & Tourist e-Visa

‘OK to Board’ message is mandatory for the below categories:

Visa Issuance:

  1. E-visas can be obtained before departure at https://evisa.rop.gov.om/
  2. Nationals of India with a visa issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, USA, United Kingdom or a Schengen Member State , valid for the period of intended stay, can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days. They must have a return/onward ticket, a hotel reservation confirmation and a health insurance. This also applies to accompanying spouse and children younger than 18 years. 
  3. Information 1: Visa on arrival fee must be paid in local currency (OMR) or by credit card.
  4. Passengers with a “Visa Deposit Receipt” can obtain a visa on arrival.
  5. Visas can be obtained at https://www.rop.gov.om/OnlineServices/eVisa/en/

Additional Information:

  1. Valid visas in a full or invalidated travel document are accepted if accompanied by a new travel document of the same nationality.
  2. TWOV (Transit Without Visa): Passengers with a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 24 Hours. The connecting flight must be booked on the same ticket. They must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.

Warning: Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.

Information 1: Exempt are holders of: Employment Visa, Family Joining/Family Residence Visa, Student Resident Visa, Investor Resident Visa.

Visa Issuance:

    1. Indian, Pakistani and Thai nationals can obtain free visa on arrival for a maximum of 30 days or according to the hotel reservation and under the following conditions:
      1. Valid passport for at least six months
      2. Confirmed return tickets.
      3. Confirmed hotel reservation through “Discover Qatar” website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted.
    2. Ukrainian Nationals can obtain free visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 90 days or according to the hotel reservation and under the following conditions:
      1. Valid passport for at least six months
      2. Confirmed return ticket
      3. Confirmed hotel reservation through “Discover Qatar” website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted.
    3. Iranian Nationals can obtain tourist visa on arrival or business visa for a fee with a maximum stay of 30 days or according to hotel reservation and under following conditions:
      1. Valid passport for at least six months
      2. Confirmed return ticket
      3. Confirmed hotel reservation through “Discover Qatar” website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted.
      4. The visa is granted for the specific period according to the Minister’s Decision No. 19 of 2007, which is
        • An entry tourist visa on arrival for a period of one month (not extendable) for a fee of 100 riyals.
        • Entry visa on arrival or business visa for a period of 1 month and maximum of 3 months for a fee of 200 riyals per month (a businessman visa is granted if there is an invitation letter from a Qatari establishment)
    4. Belarussian Nationals can obtain tourist visa on arrival or business visa for a fee with a maximum stay of 30 days and under following conditions:
      1. Valid passport for at least six months
      2. The possession of the entry visa holder a cash amount equivalent to 1000 US dollars or a valid credit card
      3. Confirmed return tickets
      4. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.
      5. The visa is granted for the specified period according to the Minister’s decision No. 19 of 2007, which is:
        • An entry tourist visa on arrival for a period of 1 month (not extendable) for a fee of 100 riyals.
        • Entry visa on arrival (for businessman) for a period of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months for a fee of 200 riyals per month.
    5. Nationals of below listed 6 countries can obtain joint tourist visa on arrival for a fee of 100 riyals for a period of 30 days, which can be extended for a similar period, and under the following conditions:
      1. Valid passport for at least six months
      2. Confirmed return tickets
      3. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.
         
      VISA on arrival for a fee of QAR 100 for a period of 30 days renewable for similar period for Nationals of following 6 countries

HAYYA Card Holders

  • The validity of the HAYYA card has been extended until 24 Jan 2024. All HAYYA Card holders are allowed to enter the State of Qatar until 10th Jan 2024 based on the following:
    1. A valid passport for a period of not less than 3 months, with the need to update any changes in the travel document information.
    2. Valid return ticket
    3. Valid HAYYA Permit with barcode attached
    4. Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation or proof of hosting family or friends issued by the Hayya platform.
    5. Valid Health Insurance Policy from accredited Insurance Companies listed by the Ministry of Public Health in the State of Qatar at the following link: https://www.moph.gov.qa/english/Pages/ics.aspx . Valid health insurance is required for all the customers eligible to obtain visa upon arrival via https://www.moph.gov.qa/english/Pages/ics.aspx,
      1. All customer are required to obtain health insurance for the specified period of Intended stay in the country
      2. Exemptions
        • Holders of all type of visas issued prior to Arrival, by Embassies of the State of Qatar, visitors with diplomatic and/or special passport based on bilateral agreement, holder of Approved military cards
  • A new HAYYA Entry Permits application process has been initiated through the Hayya Platform for the following visa categories and based on the conditions specified for each category:
    1. HAYYA Entry Permit (A1) for Tourists: For all Nationalities, subject to the conditions and regulations specified on the platform.
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
    2. HAYYA Entry Permit (A2) for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residents: Granted too all GCC residents of all professions, subject to the conditions and regulations specified on the platform.
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
      3. Valid residence permit in a GCC country for at least 3 months.
      4. Profession on the residence card and entry permit should be same.
    3. HAYYA Entry Permit (A3) for Electronic Travel Authorization: Granted to all nationalities holding valid residence permits or visas from the following countries (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Schengen countries in the European Union, Australia, New Zealand), subject to the conditions and regulations specified on the platform.
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
      3. The traveler should have a valid residence permit or visa in the following countries (United States, Canada, and United Kingdom, Schengen countries in the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand).
    4. HAYYA Entry Permit (A4) for companions of GCC Citizen or Resident: Granted to domestic helpers residing in GCC countries and under the sponsorship of the GCC Citizen or Resident, subject to the conditions and regulations specified on the platform.
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
      3. Valid residence permit in a GCC country for at least 3 months.
      4. The traveler is accompanied the sponsor or his/her first or second-degree family member.
    5. HAYYA Entry Permit (B) for Events and Conferences:
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
    6. HAYYA Entry Permit (C) for HAYYA with me:
      1. Valid QR Code on the permit and details on the HAYYA permit and travel document to be similar.
      2. Round Trip Ticket mandatory.
      3. Medical Insurance to cover the intended stay period in the country.

NOTE: Kindly note that the previous (Hayya with me) Entry Permit continues to be valid in addition to the possibility of obtaining the existing visa on arrival for the following:

Visa Requirements: Visa required.

Visa exemptions:

  1. Nationals of Nepal if not arriving from or not transiting through China (People’s Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Macao (SAR China) or Pakistan.
  2. Holders of a Re-entry Permit issued by India
  3. Holders of Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card
  4. A maximum stay of 60 days for holders of diplomatic passports issued to nationals of Syria
  5. Holders of diplomatic or official passports issued to nationals of Belarus, Denmark and Singapore.
  6. A maximum stay of 90 days:
    1. for holders of diplomatic, official, service or special passports issued to nationals of Egypt,
    2. for holders of diplomatic, official or service passports issued to nationals of Nicaragua,
    3. or holders of diplomatic or official passports issued to nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Cyprus, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Israel, Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Mongolia, Myanmar, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, Russian Fed., Serbia, South Africa, Thailand, Venezuela and Viet Nam.

Visa Issuance:

  1. As per the visa rules and travel Advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (www.mha.gov.in) , the maximum stay by a foreigner in India on an e-tourist visa or regular sticker tourist visa or both in a calendar year is restricted to aggregate of 180 days. 
  2. Nationals of Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Djibouti, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Korea (Rep.), Lao People’s Dem. Rep., Luxembourg, Marshall Isl., Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia (Federated States), Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Russian Fed., Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Isl., Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, USA, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu and Vietnam holding a printed copy of an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) can obtain a visa on arrival for a max. stay of 30 days, when:
    1. holding a normal passport valid for at least 6 months on arrival, containing at least two unused visa pages, and holding a return/onward ticket, and
    2. arriving at Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL), Goa (GOI), Hyderabad (HYD), Kochi (COK), Kolkata (CCU), Mumbai (BOM) or Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).
      1. The ETA can be obtained online 4 to 30 days before travel at Indian Visa Online.
      2. Visa on arrival allows only a single entry and is issued max. 2 times in a calendar year.

The representative of the local travel agency will be held responsible for accompanying the group at all times during their stay in India. Permission to enter the country will be granted only upon submission of the name of the group, the number of passengers, details of the itinerary (incl. port of departure) and passport number, date of birth and nationality of each passenger.

Arrivals into India:

Guidelines for Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders, as per the advisory issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and the Bureau of Immigration:

  1. Mandatory Passport Updates:
    1. OCI cardholders must update their passport details under OCI Miscellaneous Services each time they receive a new passport:Until the age of 20.
    2. Once again after the age of 50.
    3. Updates should include a scanned copy of the new passport (containing the passport holder’s photo), a recent photograph, and a signature.
  2. Submission of Updates:
    1. The updates must be submitted online via www.ociservices.gov.in within three months of receiving the new passport.
  3. For Foreign Spouses of OCI Cardholders:
    1. The same process applies for foreign spouses of OCI cardholders each time they receive a new passport (refer to Para No. 9.3 of the OCI Brochure available under “Useful Links” on www.ociservices.gov.in).
    2. Application status can be verified on the same webpage.
  4. Confirmation Emails:
    1. After uploading the required documents and submitting the application, an auto-generated confirmation email will be sent to the OCI cardholder acknowledging successful submission.
    2. A second email will be sent once the details are updated in the OCI database.
  5. Travel and Immigration:
    1. There will be no travel restrictions for OCI cardholders between the issuance of the new passport and the final acknowledgment of document updates in the online system.
    2. OCI cardholders must carry both the old passport (linked to the OCI booklet) and the new passport along with the OCI card.
    3. Immigration authorities will conduct the usual checks and verification of travel documents upon arrival and departure.

All those travelling to India with an eVisa India are required to enter the country through 30 designated ports of entry (Listed below). They may, however, exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.

  4. Holders of a UN “Laissez-Passer”.
  5. Holders of a German identity document (Kinderausweis) issued to minors.
  6. Holders of a Certificate of Identity issued to refugees and stateless persons residing in India, provided endorsed with a No Objection to Return to India (NORI) Certificate.
  7. Holders of travel documents issued to stateless persons and refugees.

Document Validity:

  1. Passports and/or passport replacing documents must be valid on arrival.
  2. British passports endorsed British Citizen that have been extended 12 months by an extension stamp contained within the passport are accepted.

Admission and Transit Restrictions:

  1. Nationals of Pakistan are only allowed to enter or transit through India if arriving at Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL) or Mumbai (BOM).
  2. Visitors holding tourist or business visas must hold return/onward tickets.

    Information 1: Not applicable to PIO card holders.

    Information 2: Not applicable to holders of multiple entry visa, issued for validity period of at least 1 year.

  3. Passengers arriving from Guinea, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone must enter India through one of the following airports: Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Cochin (COK), Delhi (DEL), Hyderabad (HYD), Kolkata (CCU) or Mumbai (BOM). Admission is refused if arriving at any other airport.
  4. Admission and transit refused to holders of Iraqi “S” series passport

Additional Information:

  1. Minors: Nationals of India or Nepal, traveling directly from Nepal, aged:
    1. up to/incl. 9 years of age, do not require any documentation, if accompanied by parents/guardian, or
    2. 10 up to/incl. 18 years of age, can travel with a certified identity document containing photo, issued by the Principal or Head of an educational institution.
  2. Indian law does not permit dual nationality for nationals of India. An Indian national holding dual nationality must contact their embassy/high commission for further information.
  3. Passengers arriving from Guinea, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone at Bangalore (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Cochin (COK), Delhi (DEL), Hyderabad (HYD), Kolkata (CCU) or Mumbai (BOM) are subject to enhanced passenger screening and medical checks.
